Some cute free things to make your Sunday brighter! Poetic Colors has a new freebie in store, part of their latest release, and I've been stalking lucky chairs at Bitch Tail to grab a few pretties.

Now, you should know that I'm wearing a mesh body in these pictures (the Maitreya Lara one), simply because I think it looks better when taking pictures, but it doesn't work very well with the dress, and there a little skin poking out around the shoulder blade on one side, which you can't see because I'm only showing the front. When wearing the regular SL body, the alpha does the trick, and it's a free dress, and apart from that very pretty!

You may wonder why oh why is Gertie engaging a model today? I have the perfect excuse! See that lovely, red, rich chaise? It's the newest release from Diesel Works. This gorgeous chaise comes with over 20 menu-selection poses, no pose balls to crowd your prims! And if that isn't enough to make you smile, a second settee is included, no extra charge, built just for photographers! While we are chatting about the setting for these lovely photographs, lets talk about all the lovelies surrounding me. I've told you about the marvelous Diesel Works Debutante Chaise, but what about that Aubusson rug? This glam rug really brings out the beauty of a room and the people in it, but there's a bonus, reverse for a round rug! I've got a great freebie perfect for the season pictured below from MORBID MAUSOLSEUM midnight mania in the attic.



Although the version above is beautiful and warm, there's also a sexy version, perfect for evenings by the fireside with a handsome hunk. Check out the sexy stockings and garters displayed when the top skirt is removed, leaving only this thin, filmy, elegant lace skirt.

Halloween is on its way .. so time to take spooky pictures ! Go and grab you halloweenie photostudio, gift from itutu !
But the cute pumpkin where my cute behind is sitting is not part of the photostudio, but a dollarbie from KO Poses .. A 6 poses pumpkin with Jack O Lantern face !
Now, let's mix free and non free for a good cause. While I am showing parts of the new Mystic Hope outfit, Nighthunt, I am also supporting breast cancer awareness. Glitterati is offering a box of single poses along with two friend poses for free. Free ... well yes, but think about it a bit more. Isn't it worth a donation? The cause is great, and I mean, if you are a lady, you cannot ignore the importance of research in this area. And if you are a guy, I'm pretty sure you an come up with a good reason to take care of your lady's breast. So just throw in a bit of linden and tell your friends about it. Thanks Katey Coppola for the kindness and this wonderful idea.

As you may have noticed, I'm also wearing JE*Republic skin, blogged by Titania a few days ago, and now you can look at the entire outfit ! Yeah... I am not usually bare chest, so the outfit comes with a few tops ^-^

Status Quome: Goofing Off!

I went to this store called Malizz Yiyuan for a free pair of hightops, but I found a lot more! There's a lucky board, a camp chair, and a bunch of freebies, plus some cool hair and random fun stuff!

Wiggly bunny ears and carrot, shoulder duckie, bubble wand with animation, and all clothes & hair in two free and 1L gift boxes... shoes are 1L on the wall near the door. I had to go with gray so you could see the bubbles, lol. Skin, free at Aimesi!

This is too fun! A cupcake raincloud! OMG I want to have cupcakes pouring on me, don't you? It's in one of the boxes too. Outfit with rainboots and hair 1L near the lucky board. Umbrella from ModdG, former giftie I think.

Camping gift "Discooo" includes repeat-color-changing PornStar hightops and skirt, and it has little music notes that come out of the headphones. Ghetto blaster is from Mela's at Hair Fair.

Interview and Review of Vidal

Hello, friends! Just wanted to talk to you about a very good friend of mine, Javabox, and his concepts for developing job opportunities in Second Life for those people around the globe who might not otherwise have the opportunity to make a decent living very easily. I know we all chuckle about designers eeking out a few lindens for their hard work and how little a linden is worth, but to someone from certain parts of the globe where say a teacher is happy to make $300 US equivalent per month, picking up another $30,000L and converting it to cash can be a real boost. And that's just the sort of people he wants to encourage. He's already helped one new designer get a leg up on the competition, and he is hopeful of helping more.



That is us chatting beside his shop, Vidal.

The designer was gracious enough to drop one of his lovely designs on me in several colors just as it was being released. Naturally, I had to put it right on, and when it rezzed I absolutely Sqeeeee'd! with delight. The other photo shows the alternative mini that comes in each pack in a lovely lime green. I have to say the mini is my favorite, because it is unusual and it moves so well. I had a lovely time trying it with different poses and it always looked great. Not free, but very reasonable, especially with all the great options, and a great mix n'match accessory thrown in in the form of a lovely handbag.

Status Quome: All Honeyed Up!

Okay, so I'd never been to Honey-Honey till yesterday, when a friend told me about these cuuute fruit dresses and I had to go look. Then I had to play the vendor lottery at 50 Flats until I got shoes to match (and since the LM hadn't been updated, I kept ending up at a nightclub where the store used to be. Club looks nice btw.) Finally someone gave me the right LM and I dropped in, literally, on Ding who was outside 50 Flats. Sorry about that!

So check this stuff out! I didn't see *anything* in Honey-Honey over 50L. Everything shown here was free or 10L and under except the fruit dress. They have strawberry, kiwi, and orange... of course I got strawberry, it's closest to pink. *grins*

Something Elegant for Saturday Night

I don't know if you can see me as I am just a teeny speck on the steps of the huge new ballroom at Zenaida's Path which will be hosting their first Summer Grande Cotillion this Saturday at 6:30 pm slt. There will be some freebies and prizes, I have been told by the lovely Marilus, so toss on those diamonds and tuxes and stop in for an evening of dancing.



This lovely gown was a gift from Aria's and I have this gift to thank for the discovery of the ballroom at Zenaida as it was the mention of this gown to my friend, Marilus, which first brought me to take pictures on the steps of her lovely ballroom. Aria's has a shop in the village at Zenaida's. This lovely dress was a DSN group gifting called "Sirene Gown - Crimson Bliss (DSN)". If you haven't already signed up for the DSN network of giftings, pop round to Moxie's Deck and sign up to receive giftings and demos in the areas of your choice. Summer Love

In a hurry but still with love...

Spell Bound!

This is my favorite place in all of Second Life to shop! Spell Bound is owned by Kendall Dagger and Mike Sohmers and they have it all. The shop is beautifully set at the Nautilus sim. This is is a true reflection of the owners. Fun, classy and quirky! When you are done shopping, have a look at the sim, its art all by itself. When you shop Spell Bound, you will find Men's and Woman's Clothing, Casual, Contemporary, Medieval, Gorean, Stunning gowns,Sexy silks,and...Chickens...yesh..Chickens..with theeeee best chicken coops!
While looking around, i found a lucky chair near the camping area, and won these gorgeous silks. After seeing these, my Inventory is now full of their many beautiful silks they sell.

Next, i found a gorgeous freebie called Cotton candy. This beautiful gown comes in full ballgown, and a short fae dress as well. Included are beautiful ballerina kid slippers.Notice the detail and ribbons!

This next outfit is called "relic" and sells for 300L and is prolly one of my favorite outfits. I love kilts, details, swords, and a nice flow to a garment. This outfit has it all!
