Me again! Yes, really. I admit, being heavily pregnant and stuck at home surely helps with finding time to do SL, shop and blog, I might vanish again after baby's born (any day now), so I enjoy it while it lasts. As promised here are a few more pretties from this month's round of Collabor88.

When I went the cam shopping sim was full as well, but that's twice the number of people, which gives you a fair chance (and with Skin Fair opening today, it'll probably be easier to get in!)

What can I say? I feel inspired to blog these days. 

Also, silly me just found out that being in a certain blogger group gave me early access to some events, like Skin Fair. I have to admit, I'm a bit confused about the latter. There are so many different mesh heads nowadays, and I totally understand that skin makers can all possibly make appliers for each head, but it's a pain in the neck when you only own (and want) one to find appliers you like and that fit you. 

I ended up not buying any skin there, but instead I fell in love with a tattoo from White Widow that I just had to show you, hence the unusual display of skin.

Collabor 88 has opened yesterday and for once, I was able to get in right away. I'll show you more of it in a next post (yes, there's going to be another one, and before next month!), but since I needed to cover some skin to keep this post SFW, I grabbed part of the gorgeous lingerie set that Erratic has on sale there.

As I was whining in the Genesis group about the lack of appliers for their amazing heads, someone kindly pointed me in the direction of the Lara Hurley store. Obviously I know of them, but I don't think I'd ever bought anything from them before, being a bit monomaniac, I tend to stick to the designers I know and love. Well, Lara Hurley makes appliers for the Genesis Lab mesh heads. I strongly advise you to try a demo because not every applier fits every head, but the one I bought was specifically designed for my head, Emily, and I have to say I can't stop staring at my face.

I don't shop often at Maitreya, because I don't have much money in SL and let's face it, their stuff isn't exactly cheap. However, when I received their update notecard yesterday, I started drooling and ran to spend all my l$. I'm really very happy with my purchases and you know what? I may be broke now but it was worth every linden. I bought the new Kala dress and the Moccasin boots and I'm in love! They are made specifically to fit the Lara body, so no alpha needed. I just had to remember to wear panties...

I realise it's been almost a month since my last post and I am sorry. I get so lazy these days with SL, and I tried at some point to recruit more bloggers but that didn't work as expected. So, if you're reading this, if you've always wanted to be a blogger but have a hard time committing to more than a post every few weeks, if you think you could bring something to Look What the Cat Brought, please let me know via a notecard inworld (@ rosemarie indigo) and we'll see if we can work something out.

I've slowly got used to my mesh head and I've started fiddling with skin tones, I also realised I'm going to have to update the Banana Banshee eyes to fit mesh heads, which is going to be a lot of work (bleh, tired already). Anyway, I really love my new face and I'm sticking to it.

First post of the year.

Hello,

Just a quick post because really want to show you a few things. First, after resisting for months, I finally joined the army of clones... well not so much since there are now dozens of mesh heads available. It really took me a while to find one that I didn't hate with a passion. I won't name names but some made me want to slap their resting bitch faces, some I found flat, the rest I found plain ugly.

Plus there's the issue of not being able to wear my favourite skins with a head I could like.

But 2 days ago, a miracle happened. Someone on Plurk posted a picture of a new Genesis Lab head that I found nice enough to want to demo it. So I went to the store but never found it (because obviously, it was at an event, duh), and since I was there and looking at heads, I demo'd a few and found Emily. Emily comes in a gacha, which usually bothers me, but I got lucky and got the rare ones fairly quickly.  At the bottom of this post you'll find the vendor add, each try is 99l$. 

Also, all the appliers for different bodies (in my case Maitreya), hands and feet (Slink) are free, which I find very nice.

The hair is Sabina Gully's latest wonder, it's called Love Song and you'll find it in her mainstore, Magika.

The outfit is a lovely number from Zenith, found at Collabor88, the shirt/dress under the loose sweater can be changed using the HUD, there are enough options to choose from to match it with pretty much anything, in this case the cute chevron tights from Izzie's.

Unless you've been living in a Ruth avatar, alone on your platform for all your SLife, you have to know who Damien Fate is. That guy can pretty much make everything in SL. Somnia Sale!

I know, I know, I'm a bad blogger. But fortunately Bel has been keeping the place alive, so I hope you'll forgive me. I have to say I've been very busy with RL, and didn't get much time to SL, let alone blog. 

But when Sanura Snowpaw announced she was having a sale, I just had to tell you about it. If you don't know Sanura, let me tell you a few things about her. Not only is she a talented designer, she's also an amazing person, who will always be there to help when needed. She's also very fond of her pets (I'm not sure but I think she has like 15 cats and dogs or something like that ^^) and animals in general. A few years ago after the tsunami in Japan, she organised the event "Fur Japan" destined to raise funds to help abandoned pets, which I was very proud to take part in. So anyway, that's Sanu for you. Well now she needs your help. 

One of her dogs, Kassie, is in need of surgery, and as you know, vets don't work for free. There's a GoFundMe if you want to help, but I suggest you show her love by buying her stuff, especially since everything in the store is 50% off. Sanu makes lovely and cheap mesh clothes, and, well, they're even cheaper at the moment. I went on a spree! But since I'm a lazy blogger, I only put together one outfit to show you. (If I happen to have time in the next few days I'll try and show more)

The Moopsie dress is a lovely and comfy autumn dress that comes in 8 different colours in one pack. It's mesh and comes in standard sizing (but I was able to fit it easily on my Maitreya Lara body, jus so you know)

The hair is the latest release from Magika, and if you haven't already, I suggest you go get the group gift that is pretty much the same hair with a witch hat (it comes in a green tone BUT if you buy the one I'm wearing you can use the HUD on the gift - so that's 2 hats for the price of one!)

Collabor 88 - June 2015 - Post #1

Hello!

Collabor 88 is probably my favourite event on the grid. It features amazing stores and, although I'm a bit disappointed that everything is not 88l$ like it used to be, I have to admit the quality of the items sold there widely make up for the slightly higher price. 

This is the first of several posts on this month's event, because I bought so many gorgeous things that I want to show you that I couldn't do it in just one post without breaking my one outfit / one post rule.

I'm opening the ball with the most adorable outfit, in bright pink shades. As you probably know if you've been following this blog, red is my favourite colour, in both lives. Nameless Post

Hello!

As long as I've been in SL, Evangeline Miles has always been one of my favorite designers, back then, her flawless textures on prims made her one of the best gown makers on the grid. There was a meme on Plurk yesterday about people you find intimidating. Well her. She was. A LOT. Plus she was an admin on the sim where I was roleplaying, which made her nothing short of a goddess to me. 

Then one day, I can't even remember how it happened. She and I talked, and I realised that in RL, her life was pretty parallel to mine, and we have much more in common than I would have ever imagined. I am not intimidated by her anymore, but I feel humbled, every day, to count such an amazing person among my friends.

What I did now know about Evie Miles, though, is that she throws away amazing textures away, because they're not perfect enough for her. That girl is crazy, let me tell you. This time though, it seems she got her sense back and slapped one of these "not good enough" textures on her latest dress, Caoimhe (btw if someone can tell me how to pronounce that, I'll be very happy)

The result, a gorgeous Nameless dress, free for her group members, and only 100l$ for everyone else. If you've never bought anything from Evie's Closet, now's the good time to start.

The hair, you might have noticed, is not my usual color, but it's a gift and honestly I think I'll end up buy the color pack anyway. I did have a bit of an awkward moment, when, wondering why I didn't receive it, I realised I wasn't in the group. I still have no clue as to how that happened, but that mistake is corrected, and I can be faaaabulous now.

I was searching for a cute dress to wear my new free shoes with the other day, and found this cute mesh sequined thing for only 1l$ on Market Place. It comes in 5 sizes and honestly, it's really nice for only 1l$. I matched is with my Secret Store shoes (group gift), put a little make-up on, and I was ready to party. Unfortunately, all the good dance places I knew seem to have gone... One was even in ruins.

Return of the Cat.

Guess what the cat dragged back in? Me, Rose. Maelenn may not be back at the moment, but I am, and I've decided that I would try and revive this blog. I've invited a bunch of bloggers with different styles, and I hope we'll all make you want to read the blog again.

I have a new favorite : The Secret Store. I went there the other days to grab the group gift and its a good thing I didn't have more l$ in my SLwallet, because I ended up broke, and I think I would have anyway. Not only her mesh clothes (and shoes!) are absolutely adorable, they're very well made and fit perfectly, even on my mesh body. Be sure to try a demo though, one can never be too careful.

Hello everyone, happy Sunday! Since I have a few days off work, I have a little time to blog, and I'm happy to show you a few pretty things that I got these past few days. First off, Evie released a while ago a lovely mesh outfit for Zodiac, called Kasia, that I had shown here. Since it was absolutely gorgeous, she decided to release more colors, and Petite versions. If you want my opinion, that's a brilliant idea.  As you can see below on the top right (normal) and bottom left (Petite), Evie puts as much care into the details for the Petite avis as she does for the taller ones. I've matched the outfits with the Sabina jewelry set from Krystal, another wonder of prim work, with tiny details and color change gems.

Of course I had to go buy another Petite avi, and I found out Al Vulo recently released a new one, called Polly II. I love the soft skin and overall adorable look of these new Petites! The hair my Petite avi is wearing is a group gift from Alice Project, it's her very first mesh hair specially resized for these tiny avatars. You may notice the glitch with the alpha and the mesh, I hope she fixes it for the official release, but I figured it's cute enough, and a gift, so I decided I'd show you anyway. It comes with the infinity color HUD (aka a bazilion different possibilities, color-wise)

I was even able, with a little twitching, to fit my beloved eyes from Poetic Colors (make sure to make a copy before any drastic change to an item). 

The hair worn on my normal avi are all group gifts too, from Exile. They come in all colors but I chose to wear my favorite tone from Exile, Marone. I particularly like the very elegant updo shown on the top pictures, Violetta. The ones below, Rayanne (left) and Betty Lou (right) have lovely color-change accessories.
