The geometry of pretty

Long time no post here, but hey, summer is a busy season for RL! I'm sort of back though (yeah, going away next week again :D) with a cute little look made mainly with items available at the Vintage Fair.
However, I added new Exile hair to the look (I missed my Exile fix while the creator was on vacation, so yay for new hair!) and a skin that I am in love with and is free, which means double love :)

Again, this is a look that I love. With so little time to blog lately, I have no other choice but to pick my favoritest items of my favoritest items :D. This little Geometry dress for Vintage Fair is beyond lovely! It comes in so many colors that it was hard to only choose one, so I finally went for green. I added the vintage shoes by Bliensen + Mai Tai and a jewelry set by Ben's Beauty, all of them available at Vintage Fair. The Di's Opera poses are also new releases for the event.

Sunset walk

CHIC2 ends on June 24, so you still have time to drop by, if you didn't go there already - or to make some low-lag purchases for your pixel doll.
For this post, I chose a lovely dress by Bilo. If you're in to retro styles and patterns, this is the dress for you!
I added a beautiful jewelry set by Je Suis, a matching clutch and a sophisticated hairstyle by LeLutka to complete the look.
Also, if you have lazy days or simply can't find the perfect location for your photos, I recommend the Flickr Stock Images group, where great and generous SL photographers keep adding images for that can be used as backgrounds. For this photo, I chose a stock image by Harper Ganesvoort that was perfect for the outfit and the lightning that I needed for my photo. Kiss me, I'm pretty!

Exile has new gorgeous hairs out, ColdLogic released new rompers to die for and the Accessories Hunt is about to start. What more could a fashionista ask for?

The new release by ColdLogic made me jump for joy. Six new rompers, going from sporty to classy, with great mesh and amazing textures as always. And, what's even better for me, they fit my shape almost perfectly. In fact, that's what I love the most at this brand. I chose for this post a romper that's casual, but still girly and can be worn with high heels (I must confess that if there's one think in my inventory that's missing, that would be sports shoes. That's also true for my RL closet :D)

Also, I chose a new hairstyle by Exile called Kiss Me (and yes, I would kiss it if I could, because I love every pixel of it). I think it compliments my new Pink Fuel skin, called Alena, available at the Skin Addiction skin showcase. I can't look away when I see a pretty skin with red lips and Pink Fuel is becoming one of my favorite brands.

Also, you gotta be prepared to go hunting. One of the hunts starting on June 1st is the Accessories Hunt and any fashionista knows how important accessories are for great styling. So check the Duh bag, the Sleeping Koala bangles and the N@N@ jewelry set, they will all be prizes in the Accessories Hunt. Also, I will have to make a special mention for N@N@, I just discovered this brand and I think their jewelry is pretty fab! (Check here their Wash Retro Sale items too!)

On with the Shock!

Culture Shock, that is! With this event about to start (one more day, yay!) I'm seriously thinking to move RL me into the pixel world. Not that I have something against RL, but oh man, the clothes! (and the skins,  and the hair, and the shapes!) RL me would be happy in with all that inventory overload!
Ok, back to earth now! Culture Shock starts on May 4th and about 18o stores will be part of it. Each brand has at least one charity item, with 50% or 100% of the sales going to Médecins Sans Frontières. 
For this post I chose a dress by Solidea Folies - edgy as usual and this time mesh too. The dress comes in 5 sizes, but because of the see-through areas, it does not come with an alpha layer, so be sure to demo! Moniq is an S for the upper body and an M for the lower body, but she is wearing the large size in this post, to prevent the body poking through the mesh.
The C Star skin is also a limited edition for the event, with sales going to MSF. It seemed to be the perfect choice for this dress.
I added this lovely jewelry set by Miao - it comes with color-change options for the stones and the necklace and this edgy hair style by Miao.
The pose is by Juxtapose and is a prize in the High Voltage Hunt.

Plans for a sunny day

Black is the new black

Long time no see! To make up for my lack of posts on The Cat, I'm bringing you an amazing look today. First, I totally advise you to check the My Attic event at The Deck, where amazing designers have retro-themed items for only L$95 (see more here and here.

Of green, pink and vanity

Yes, Moniq is wearing pink today. It's rather unusual, but I loved the idea of an apple-green dress with pink accessories.
The pretty dress is a new release by ColdLogic for March Mesh Madness. Also mesh is the Exile hair.
The pink jewelry set (it also comes in black/silver) is by Caroline's Jewelry and is available at a promo price at Disco Deals this weekend. The shoes are Chandelle's item for the Tropicalia Bazaar.
The skin on Moniq is the latest group gift by Exodi. There's a L$750 join fee for the group right now.

How did I end up here?

Sooo... see through corsets and biker leggings... bad girl, right? But this bad girl is wearing cupcake earrings and her face looks so innocent! And she's out there in the woods, in bright daylight! What does that tell you?
To me, it says that I love contrasts :D and if it's not about color, it's about attitude. And, in fact, it's proof that my new Gos boots (actually, my new favorite ever boots) work with both innocent and naughty looks. There, I said it!

That's what you do when you get bored!

We have company!

Just another manic Monday

For the happy few, today is the last day of the new year vacation. The rest of us are already used to work and wait for the next day off. This post is dedicated to those happy few. Because they will think the first working Monday of the year sucks so bad and they will need a cute outfit to make them feel better. So how about you try this look?
Though it's a mild winter, a warm coat is still a must. And it can look pretty cool and fashionable too. Getting it for a special price is a bonus! Something old, something new and something free... that's how SL rolls!

I somehow managed to do one more red post. Can you blame me? We just went through Christmas!

Truth be told, I am a fan of red-white, red-black and red-white-black combos, so I can't really pass the chance to make one more outfit with those colors. Plus, red lips skins are one extra reason to do so :p
Today I tried on this new release by Elymode - a dress or a sweater, depending what you need, plus matching leggings. The trick about it is that the outfit comes with resizable sculpted attachments plus an alpha layer, but you can also buy mesh add-ons for the skirt and sleeves. And guess what: this skirt is big enough to cover my bootie :D
The hair on Moniq is LeLutka's Christmas gift - a bit modded, though, and the Belleza skin is free at the Beachwood club, under the Christmas tree.

New cat on board. In style.

Look, the cat brought a new blogger! I hope you like my face, because you'll see me post here once in a while :)
And with only a few hours before the hottest event of the month opens, I have for you a sneak peek of Vintage Fair. There are about 200 designers with exclusive items, from steampunk to disco, going through the golden years of vintage, the 20s and the 60s. And many creators also prepared gifts for shoppers. Here's a mix of VF items for you:

This look was inspired by the Vanity Affair dress by Alexohol. While simple, the dress is elegant and comfortable and it's a perfect choice for a vintage lady who plans to go out for a coffee on a sunny afternoon. That lady would also choose this vintage tote by House of Fox and the Sway huge summer hat (and this one is a VF gift). Luckily, she is living in SL so high heels are not a problem for her feet. She would gladly wear the Plain Jane pumps by Cool Beans to complete the look.
Of course, a delicate piece of jewelry is a must for a posh vintage lady, and a pearl is a woman's best friend (no, I don't believe in that story about the diamonds). The Pearl Drop necklace by Caroline's Jewelry is just what she needed.
