I'm back !
Hello lovelies ! How have you been ? Missed me a little ?
I hope so ! I missed you but my RL was pretty darn busy .. here what happens when you have a time-eating job and plan to get married !!
Anyway.. a quick look at Culture Shock, which I hope you have visited by now, and a few look of the day .. to make up for my petite absence!
I completely fell in love for this sexy retro look made from Purplemoon, Gabriel, Magpie, Je Suis and .. the touch of shiny with Handverk jewelry set.
And now for the casual yet adorable looks.. let's perk in Maai's closet !

People will read again.
Time for me to show you some of the gorgeous creations you may find at Culture Shock.
The event is running until May 26th and all creators have at least one item with 50 or 100% benefits going to Medecins Sans Frontières.
Be aware that there is a script gate at the landing point so you must be wearing 50 scripts or less to gain enterance.
So let's look at Rfyre, Piddidle and Echo !
And talking of Echo, I sure hope you took advantage of the secret sale Rosie blogged about, because it's now over but it was the opportunity to get loads of pretties !

Collabor 88 - May 2012
I have been waiting for 3 days for Collabor 88 to open. The reason was this hair. I've always been very fond of Bubbles Clawtooth's unique style, but I would seldom wear their hair because there was a stiffness about them that bothered me. Thanks to mesh, it is no more an issue and I can fully enjoy my new Glamazon hair. I think I'm going to be wearing that style for a while.
While I was at Collabor 88, I figured I might as well take a look at the rest of the items... It was a good idea, except for my wallet, because I bought quite a few things... including that very lovely Gaby skin from IrEn. For some reason, it reminds me of Dicey Tillerman, the heroin of my favorite children book of all times. I think it's what she would look like as a grown up.
My picture of the Daydream Flying Dome from Trompe l'Oeil definitely doesn't do it justice, but you can go check Cory Edo's blog for more pictures before braving the crowd at C88.
The Camille outfit by Tres Blah (for C88) is a one piece mesh skirt and cableknit sweater. It comes in various colors and has a sweet and romantic vibe about it that I really like. I matched it with the perfect Jude boots in nutmeg that I grabbed at Culture Shock in the Ingenue booth.
Ack! I almost forgot to credit the poses! They are all from Marukin, a new to me store, that I discovered at C88.

On with the Shock!
Culture Shock, that is! With this event about to start (one more day, yay!) I'm seriously thinking to move RL me into the pixel world. Not that I have something against RL, but oh man, the clothes! (and the skins, and the hair, and the shapes!) RL me would be happy in with all that inventory overload!
Ok, back to earth now! Culture Shock starts on May 4th and about 18o stores will be part of it. Each brand has at least one charity item, with 50% or 100% of the sales going to Médecins Sans Frontières.
For this post I chose a dress by Solidea Folies - edgy as usual and this time mesh too. The dress comes in 5 sizes, but because of the see-through areas, it does not come with an alpha layer, so be sure to demo! Moniq is an S for the upper body and an M for the lower body, but she is wearing the large size in this post, to prevent the body poking through the mesh.
The C Star skin is also a limited edition for the event, with sales going to MSF. It seemed to be the perfect choice for this dress.
I added this lovely jewelry set by Miao - it comes with color-change options for the stones and the necklace and this edgy hair style by Miao.
The pose is by Juxtapose and is a prize in the High Voltage Hunt.
Styling:
Skin: cStar Limited - Osumare Skin - Coffee @ Culture Shock
Hair: Tameless Hair Foxi - Blacks and Whites
Dress: *SoliDea FoliEs* Shock - sky @ Culture Shock
Jewelry: MIAO Angie Jewelry Set
Pose: Juxtapose (High Voltage hunt prize)
The landmark for Culture Shock will be available on May 4th, when the event opens. Meanwhile, check the official blog for more info on the charity and complete participant store list.

Culture Shock - part one - Sn@tch
So, I've been blessed with the opportunity to be a blogger for the Culture Shock event, and I would first like to thank the Chic Management staff for allowing me to do so. Culture Shock is a charity event to raise funds for Médecins Sans Frontières (it means Doctors without Borders, ring a bell?) and you should definitely go spend your l$ there because not only it's for a good cause, but there are amazing designers there!
Today I'm starting with a well known designer, Sn@tch. I have to admit I wasn't a big fan of their work, until THIS :
The Seraphim dress is MESH, and comes in a lot of pretty colors, deep or pastel. So you're sure to find one you love!

- All poses in this post from Status for Culture Shock
